| CF3000 Panel Range
The Cooper CF3000 range of panels offer a
high-specification, analogue fire detection panel solution
which is available in a 1, 2 or 4-loop configuration.
It combines sophisticated functionality, yet simple panel
operation with a very aesthetically-pleasing design.
The large capacity, ability to support complex cause and effect
programming and wide range of user-controllable functions
make this panel suitable for a wide range of projects from
sheltered housing to large office developments as well as many
industrial applications.
The CF3000 range of panels provide a large (120mm x 90mm)
touch screen display as the main user element, eliminating the
need for dedicated system push buttons. The user interface is
menu-driven, automatically reconfiguring to suit the chosen
menu option. To enable text updates directly at the panel, the
display converts to a full QWERTY keyboard, enabling
comprehensive text insertion.
The panel also has 96 zone fire LEDs providing additional
information about the extent of any fire activation as well as
a comprehensive set of system status LEDs providing
additional visual information for the end user.
The panels use ‘spur tolerant’ soft addressing to minimise
installation time and remove the potential for error normally
associated with manual addressing.
All of the CF3000 fire detection system components have been
specifically designed to operate as part of an integrated system;
this provides an assurance that the panel, sensors, interfaces
and other ancillaries are all fully compatible with each other
and that the full range of system functionality is supported by
each device.

Welcome to Cooper Fire
Cooper Fire Training Courses 2009
With the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and changes to the British Standards, there is now a requirement for both companies and personnel working within the fire industry to be not only competent but be able to prove this competence. Cooper now provides a comprehensive range of certified fire product focused training courses as well as, in partnership with the Fire Industries Association (FIA), a range of fully certified British Standards (BS5839 Pt1 2002) courses.
Hosted at the Cooper fire training facility in Doncaster, delegates attending the various modules will receive a comprehensive technical as well as a practical insight into the full range of Cooper fire products. Each module is tailored to provide delegates with the technical knowledge to assess the practical requirements of any installation and select the correct Cooper product to provide a complete solution as well as providing both practical installation and ongoing maintenance information.
Delegates who successfully complete each module will receive a certificate confirming that they have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and ability to meet the required standard. This will provide, to the companies and delegates who attend all modules, a comprehensive, certified, proof of competence.

New fire handbook outlines latest legislation
Cooper Lighting and Safety has launched a new fire handbook that is sure to be a valuable source of information for anyone involved in designing, specifying or installing fire detection systems.
Entitled 'Fire Solutions', the 160-page A4 full-colour handbook includes a useful fire system design guide, which details the requirements of the latest legislation and standards, as well as providing guidance on system design and product selection.
In addition, the handbook features all the fire systems and components supplied by the company under its Menvier and JSB brands, divided into four sections covering analogue control panels, analogue interfaces, conventional fire panels, and fire system components such as detectors, callpoints, sounders and beacons.
Each section has its own contents page with thumbnail photographs to facilitate product selection, and each product entry consists of a photograph, a brief description, a list of key features, detailed technical specifications, installation notes, dimensioned line diagrams and ordering information.
